Online Return Policy
Due to the nature of the following products (ie. copywritten material), we are unable to accept returns, therefore please be sure to select carefully.
- Software
- Fabric
- Books or Magazines
- DVD’s or Video’s
- Pens and Markers
- Interfacing / Stabilizer
- Patterns
Undamaged and Unopened items:
These may be returned within 15 days of the order’s shipping date at the buyer’s expense (see exclusions above). Prior authorization is required for all returns and upon approval, must be accompanied by a copy of the order invoice and copy of credit card receipt. Refunds will be made using the same payment method that was used for the order. No credit will be given for the original postage to have the order shipped to you.
Damaged Goods: Notification is required within 3 days of receiving any items damaged in transit. We will then make appropriate arrangements with you for the return of the damaged goods at our expense.
Online Shipping Policy
Packages are shipped within 24 hours, Monday to Friday. During our peak seasons, such as Christmas, it may take 3–4 days to ship. Once shipped, please allow up to 7 business days for your package to arrive (Canada) and up 12 business days (United States). Most shipments in Canada and the United states will be made through Canada Post and will be bar coded. This will enable our customers the ability to have there shipments traced on line by using https://em.canadapost.ca/emo/basicPin.do?language=en All international shipments may take longer and will not be traceable.
How much will it cost to ship my package?
Shipping prices vary depending on the weight, dimensions and destination of your shipment. For the present time, shipping will be calculated after we package up your purchase and price it through the Canada Post online calculator and will not appear on screen at the time purchase. Purchase confirmations will be emailed back to you as soon as we calculate shipping. A base $3.00 fee will be charged for packing materials (bubble envelope / box with packing materials, etc.) All shipments will be insured and will be included in the postal rate.
Oversized and Overweight items: The fees listed above are based on smaller packages or parcels. When an item is deemed either overweight or oversized for Canada Post, alternate shipping methods are required and may result in additional costs. We will contact you with shipping costs prior to processing your order (Example –Sewing Machine Cabinets or Quilting Frames).
Shipping to the United States / International: We will email you with the rates as postage is based off origin, destination, weight and dimensions of the item. Packages will be sent First Class or Parcel Rate (Expedited) and the customer is responsible for all applicable government taxes, duties, custom fees or broker fees.
Uninsurable Countries: Quilt as Desired makes every attempt to package merchandise for optimum protection. However, if your country is uninsurable by Canada Post (see below), Quilt as Desired will not be responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items; Quilt as Desired will not refund money or replace merchandise at no charge if you live in any one of these countries.

Backordered Items: From time to time, Quilt as Desired may be out of stock of the items you have chosen. We will endeavour to restock these items within 7–10 days and we will notify you if a waiting period is involved. At this time you will have the option of cancelling your order or waiting until new stock arrives.

Our website collects personal information such as your name, address, phone number and email address. We store this information for future reference, up to one year from the date of purchase of ease of reordering. We place your email address into our database to allow us the ability to inform you periodically of future promotions or sales. We can remove your email address from our database at any time upon your request. At no time will your email address ever be given to or shared with any other businesses or organizations.
For each purchase from Quilt as Desired, we require your Credit Card details to process your purchase and will securely discard this information upon completion of the transaction.
